1000 Rupees ,Brihadeeswarar Commemorative largest denomination coin of India

Largest denomination 1000 Rs Coin for the first time in India

I have visited the temple approximately 5 times when i used to do my studies near Thanjavur. I was happy to see  INR 1000 ,INR 5 Commemorative coin released by Reserve Bank of India(RBI) to mark the millennium year celebrations of the famous Brihadeeswarar Temple built by the great Chola ruler Raja Raja Chola I 1010 AD which is located Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. It had turned 1000 Years in 2010 Year.


There are two types of coins
1)Proof Set: INR 1000 ,INR 5 Brihadeeswarar Commemorative coin
2) Normal coin circulating in market  : INR 5 denomination
